this is an amazing group..... congrats.... i am so glad that what we all professionals share and discuss is really refreshing for experienced people and very much useful for freshers and average experienced people. great job we all are doing.
I have 2 Querys.
1. where do they conduct AWS - CWE ( Certified Welding Engineer) in INDIA
I already have IIW - IWE Diploma. Are there any other welding engineers certification or qualifications??
2. I want to do Masters in Metallurgical / Industrial Metallurgy / Materials science &
Metallurgy / OR Welding Engineering THROUGH DISTANCE EDUCATION or
Correspondance.
Are there any Colleges / Institutes / Universities IN INDIA OR International Universities / colleges which offer the above mentioned programmes through distance education / correspondance.
Please give in detail information

1. Since you have an IWE diploma - for the AWS CWEng certification contact
AWS directly - you can find link to the application here:
http://www.aws.org/certification/CWEng/ . Since you have an IWE diploma -
the requirements are different.
2. Ohio State University has a distance masters program in Welding
Engineering
for there website Distance learning opportunities are offered through our
Welding Engineering Program. The Welding Engineering Program at the Ohio

engineers to the worldwide manufacturing community. In order to expand the
availability of a Welding Engineering education to a wider audience, the
faculty has embarked upon a distance education program to allow students
