JIS G3454 STPG370 Equal to ASME A53 Gr-A material hence equal to P-1 so Can I use this for ASME-A105 (P-1)

Dear Friends,

PQR is made by JIS G3454 STPG370 material ,which is equal to ASME SA53
Gr-A material
hence equal to P-1 Grouping , so Can I use this PQR(JIS G3454 STPG370)
as a supporting
for WPS for ASME-SA105 (P-1 Grouping) without impact requirements.

As per the Codes Unassigned material (in the ASME Sec-IX QW-424.1) &
Unlisted materials
(ASME B31.3 Chapter-III Clause-323.1.2 ) can be Used.

But

JIS G3454 STPG370 Tensile Minimum Required N/mm2 =370 Carbon
Steel
ASME SA53 Gr-A Tensile Minimum Required N/mm2 =330 P-1
Grouping
ASME-SA105 Tensile Minimum Required N/mm2 =485 P-1
Grouping


ASME-SA105 Tensile strength is more that JIS G3454 STPG370 (CS) & ASME
SA53 Gr-A

As per ASME Sec-IX QW-420 Base Metal Groupings , Same P-Numbers can be
used for WPS/PQR with in the same P-1 numbers.

Can I use PQR (JIS G3454 STPG370) material for WPS (ASME-
SA105)material.

Please advice.
