Hi

Refer table 4 i ASME Sec II Part C SFA 5018

this might help you

E70C-G(X) E48C-G(X) As agreed between supplier and purchaser
E70C-3X E48C-3X 20 ftWlbf at 0°F 27 J at -20°C
E70C-6X E48C-6X 20 ftWlbf at -20°F 27 J at -30°C
E70C-GS(X) E48C-GS(X) Not Required Not Required
NOTES:
a. Both the highest and lowest of the five test values obtained shall
be disregarded in computing the impact
strength. Two of the remaining three values shall equal or exceed 20
ftWlbf [27 J]; one of the three
remaining values may be lower than 20 ft-lbf [27 J], but not lower
than 15 ftWlbf [20 J]. The average
of the three shall not be less than the 20 ftWlbf [27 J] specified.
b. For classifications with the “N” (nuclear) designation, three
additional specimens shall be tested at room
temperature. Two of the three shall equal, or exceed, 75 ftWlbf [100
J], and the third shall not be lower
than 70 ftWlbf [95 J]. The average of the three shall equal, or
exceed, 75 ftWlbf [100 J].
3.3 The welding electrodes and rods classified under
this specification are intended for gas shielded arc welding,
but that is not to prohibit their use with any other process
(or any other shielding gas, or combination of shielding
gases) for which they are found suitable.
4. Acceptance
Acceptance5 of the electrodes and rods shall be in accordance
with the provisions of AWS A5.01.
5. Certification
By affixing the AWS specification and classification
designations to the packaging, or the classification to the
product, the manufacturer certifies that the product meets
the requirements of this specification.6
6. Rounding-Off Procedure
For the purpose of determining conformance with this
specification, an observed or calculated value shall be
rounded to the nearest 1000 psi [10 MPa] for tensile and
yield strength, and to the “nearest unit” in the last righthand
place of figures used in expressing the limiting value
for other quantities in accordance with the rounding-off
method given in ASTM E 29.
5 See Section A3, Acceptance (in Annex A) for further information
concerning acceptance, testing of the material shipped, and AWS A5.01.
6 See Section A4, Certification (in Annex A) for further information
concerning certification and the testing called for to meet this requirement.

Look at the chemical composition. Be ware when you are qualifying welding procedures by ASME IX: A Number, QW 404.5.

When you see "G" in AWS spec that means that the chemical composition is not specified

Dear Lalit,

the different both of them in the chemical composition as explanation below

ER70S-2 This classification covers filler metal electrodes containing small
amounts of titanium, zirconium, and aluminum in addition to the normal
deoxidizing elements manganese and silicon. These wires are commonly
referred to as triple deoxidized wires. They produce sound welds in all
types of carbon or mild steels and are especially suited for welding
carbon steels that are rusty or have mill scale on the surface. The
ERXXS-2 electrodes work well when encountering porosity and high
sulfur contents in base metals. Weld integrity varies with the amount of
oxides on the surface of the steel. They work well in the short-circuiting
mode for out-of-position welding. An application for the ER80S-D2 is on
chrome-moly steels, such as 4130, when preheat and postheat treatment
is not feasible. Although most application of the ER80S-D2 wire is with
GTAW, it is also applicable for the GMAW process.

ER70S-G This classification may be applied to solid electrodes that do
not fall into any of the preceding classes. It has no specific chemical
composition or shielding gas requirements but must meet all other
requirements of the AWS A5.18 specification.

Thanks

Zulfan

Hi!
G' specifies(Of Consumable) for the chemistry (Elements) being  adjusted as per reuirement of enhance  Mechanical properties viz, UTS,Impact where normal specified AWS catagories of consumables do not satisfy the requirement of weld . However in " G"specified consumable The qualification will be brand qualification and A no will be as per chemistry of weld (We can not take the generalised A No given in Sec IX
