HOT TAPPING OF LPG PIPE LINES

Dear Friends,
 
We are planning to do  hot tapping of LPG pipe lines with wall thcikness of 9 mm.  Does any body have experience with the same, please share.  We have qualified the procedure, but  there are apprenhensions regarding safety in hot tapping of LPG pipe lines

The scenario is no different than hat tapping in a natural gas pipe line.Follow the guidelines of API RP 2201. The isolation of the system and hot working procedure should be very critical for this work.

Dear Venkat,
recently we have done the Hot-tap for our project, the hot tap crew & their safety team will assess the area, condition of the site, as well as your emergency contingency plan based on the risk assessment.
you need to have basically following in your hand.
1) Hot-Tap package (hot-tap procedure, welding procedure, hot-tap calculation, UT reading, ISO, P&ID, MTO etc).
2) Emergency contingency plan.
3) Split tee hydro test reports.
4) Spool hydro test report. etc.

Dear Venkat,
Pls find some procedures for your guideline, basically it is a Saudi Aramco requirement, however the general requirment for Hot-tap (concept) will be remain same.

We have 2 x 1000 TPD Sufuric Acid Plants, 750 MTPD Phos Acid Plant, 16x2 MW CPP & Wide HP & LP Stream distribution network.

We are facing Frequent acid , gas , steam leakages.

Any hot tapping procedure , that cal help us to carry out on stream, will be welcome.
