Qualification of welders

Dear members I have some question about the welders qualification because in our project the welders is qualified to carbon steel materials. He can weld to higher P-No like P4. As per asme QW 423.1 he is qualifiy to weld. Pno is essential variables to Welders. Can you please give me some information about this. Regards Mervin Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android

yes P number is essential variable for welder's qualification.

ASME P1 qualified welders can weld ASME P4 without further welder test.

Under QW 423.1, If he is qualified for P1, he gets qualified  up to P 15 F. 

You  have to keep 'F' nos  into consideration.
