Electrode LB52 VS LB52U

Dear Experts,

can somebody advise for me, what difference the mechanical composite between electrode LB-52 and LB-52U??

No problem.You can use since the strength is the same 70000 psi and both are in the same A number. No need to worry about chemical composition let the manufature think about it.

Mr. Chandra Putra,

Both are classified under AWS 5.1 E 7016 only and there is no change in their respective  UTS & Chemistry values.

But, application wise, the specialty of  LB 52U is,  it is well suitable to one side welding of pipes with
relatively low current, while LB 52 is good for butt & fillet joints with moderately high  currents.
