Dear All,

Need your help on below topic.

What is the meaning of Examiner and examination body as per ISO 9606?

What is the criteria for Examiner ?

Can person from organization consider as Examiner?

Any notified body( NoBo) accredited to witness and certify welding procedures/welders

Dear Sir,

Examiner is the person who actually examines welder and Examination Body is the organization who appoints that examiner for examine the welder.

Example any third party can be examine organization and person who appointed from that third party is the examiner.

Acording to lSO 9606-1 point 6.1 it shall be done "yes"

Neither in the PED nor in the guidelines a formal requirement for witnessing by NoBo.

NoBo is not required but Third party inspection or Manufacturer appointed person who is not reporting to Production

standards can not cover all cases. the definitions may vary depending on the context
