I'm running Matlab r2011a student version, windows 7
I've followed the installation instructions and can launch the plugin
as an eclipse application.
However, when I then go to preferences and select 'Matlab Console' I
get the following error:

Window Title: "Problem Occurred"
Window contents:
"Unable to create the selected preference page."
"An error occurred while automatically activating bundle
org.eclipselabs.matclipse.mconsole (204)."

Also, when I try to open the 'Matlab Perspective' another error occurs
Window Title: "Error"
Window contents:
"Problems opening perspective
'org.eclipselabs.matclipse.mconsole.perspectives.MatlabWorkbench"

I'm hoping I've just missed a step in the install that was implied.
If there isnt a quick solution for this then would you mind sharing a
useful link or two on plugin development and debugging plugins.

Hi, we are working on that one. It seems the jvm does not load the COM libraries so it needs to be specified in the launcher. I'll keep you updated.

Same problem here! I've also posted an issue on google code..

I would be very grateful if you will come up with a solution soon since I use matlab extensively, and the built-in editor isn't very mighty....

Hi!

The problem should be solved now and I pushed it into the latest
revision. Please check, if it's working for you now!
