PILOT PROJECT ON QUALITY AND PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZE ENTERPRISES (KAIZEN)
Call for applications - the 3rd selection of 14 candidates to be trained as 5S/KAIZEN consultants
MINPMEESA and the SME Promotion Agency in collaboration with JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) through a training course, intend to train 14 candidates as KAIZEN consultants. KAIZEN is a method of management that originated in Japan. The concept of KAIZEN, as well as 5S (which is related to KAIZEN), can be referred in the link indicated below:
A 3rd training package of 8 weeks between February and April 2017 shall be organized in Douala.
During the training to be handled by Japanese and Cameroonian experts, candidates will have 2 weeks of classroom lectures and workshops, and 6 weeks of OJT (On-the-Job Training) in selected enterprises. After the training, MINPMEESA and the SME Promotion Agency will provide best candidates with necessary support to work as KAIZEN consultants.
I. Requirement for the candidates willing to become KAIZEN consultants:
- Anyone at the age between 30 and 45 (as of January 2017).
- Anyone who can attend the training from Monday to Friday for 8 weeks. Only 4 days of absence will be allowed during the training.
- Anyone who can bring his/her own digital camera and laptop computer installed with the original version of Microsoft Windows or above, and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Picture Manager). At the 2nd selection level, candidates may have to bring their own digital cameras and devices and take exams on PC skills.
- Anyone who has enough PC skills on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Anyone who is healthy enough both physically and mentally to work in a dusty condition or in the sunshine at a storeroom or a factory with the staff of pilot enterprises as a part of the OJT (On-the-Job Training).
- Anyone who can get an approval from the company or organization to which the candidate belongs.
- Anyone who can accept that only transportation cost is paid during the training, with no per-diem.
II. Selection Procedures
- Send the following 4 documents : (i) your CV, (ii)a filled questionnaire, (iii) a motivation letter, (iv) a letter of approval from your company/institution’s superior (scanned PDF file required for no. iv).
Download and fill in the questionnaire forms from http://www.apmecm.info. Send them by e-mail to Challenge...@googlegroups.com with the 4 documents above not later than 23: 59 on Monday, 24th October 2016. Candidates can send their CVs and other documents in French or English.
(If a candidate does not receive any reply after 72 hours upon sending their CV and other documents to Challenge...@googlegroups.com , kindly contact us again.) - Candidates who succeed after the screeCandidates ning of documents will have the interview and exam on computer skills in either English or French. Each shortlisted candidate will be notified of the interview date between 15th (Tue) and 17th (Thu) November 2016 in Douala.
Candidates should bring their own (i) Digital Camera and (ii) Laptop PC for the PC test. - Candidates will receive the final results of the selection in November 2016. Please note that the Organizer shall not respond to any enquiries about the selection procedures.
