#FixEurope Campus, Oct 21-24 in Berlin
Dear Friend ,
we are delighted to inform you of the upcoming #FixEurope Campus which
European Alternatives is organising from Oct 21-24 in Berlin which will bring together citizens, civil society activists, members of movements, organisations and networks from throughout the continent.

After having run a series of large scale projects over the years dedicated to building a transnational movement connecting the struggles of Europe’s citizens, it is now the right time to come together, unite our ideas, practices, and proposals to build on our common struggles for democracy and equality in Europe and beyond.

Activists, civil society, organisations, movements, from across Europe will take part in a three-day campus environment for reflection, learning and organising strategically. The Campus has the aim of building and sharing knowledge and actions relating to:
  • influencing policy making / building citizens lobbies
  • bringing grassroots practices and local change to a transnational dimension
  • building networks and connecting (online and offline) communities
The #FixEurope Campus will be about defining political priorities for the year ahead and will be a good opportunity for us to exchange common reflections, practices and build up on project ideas that we can take up collaboratively. Training workshops will aim to empower participants in new techniques for campaigning, advocacy and communication at EU level; we will learn how the use of new technologies can help activists on the ground; we will map the new European institutions and study which attempts at influencing decision-making have worked and why.To close the campus, a public conference will be held on Saturday October 25th held at the Heinrich-Böll Foundation in the centre of Berlin opened by Saskia Sassen.

Applications are open until September 15th and we do hope you will consider applying to the campus. Don't forget to spread the call in your networks. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Public Conference Oct 25
After the three day Campus, we will close with a public conference in Berlin, in partnership with the Heinrich-Böll Foundation. This conference is both the closing of the Campus and the moment for a wider public to engage on the strategic outlook of civil society engagement in Europe. We would like to invite you to this conference in Berlin for wich no previous registration is necessary right now. The keynote of the conference will be held by Saskia Sassen.
