Slide menu

Hello,

I try to do a slide menu but i don't understand how to make one. I try to follow these instruction :

For slide menu,

1. Create a new menu.
2. In the Advanced tab - alternative layout, choose PANEL.
3. In tab module, you write panelnav position.
4. Assign to all pages

But I don't know where i can find the "Advanced tab - alternative layout" ? And when i put the module at the position panelnav, the menu is put at the bottom of the page.
Can you explain me a little more how to make one ?

Hi!
in you menu module, find the last tab "Advanced" and go to "alternative layout" option.
When you have this config, you slide menu must work fine.

oh i don't know why but in my "html/mod_menu" file i just had default.php, default_component.php and default_url.php. That's why i didn't find the panel for the menu. Now it work fine. Thx :)

This settings did NOT work for me.

For me, I get nothing displayed in navigation module, I means there is no menu when I pick up "alternative layout". 

I am using the joomla 3.6.x now.

Could anyone tell me the reason, as a workaround, now, 

I duplicate my main menu module, so that the major module set position in navigation, and the duplicated one set to position panelnav with alternative layout panel, 

then, it looks working for me. 

But this might not be the right way!
