Dear friends,

We have published two more software/tools for proteomics researchers in the last month that we want to introduce here- GenoSuite & ProteoStats.

GenoSuite is a prokaryotic proteogenomic pipeline that can search multiple algorithms and integrate their results for improving the annotation of prokaryotic genomes using mass spectrometry data. The project homepage on sourceforge has detailed description on its features and utility. The paper can be accessed from Kumar et al, MCP, 2013.

ProteoStats is a library for false discovery rate estimation from multiple algorithms using several published FDR methods. It can incorporate any algorithm, provide ROC curves and charts for visual analysis. More information is available at this page and the paper can be accessed at Yadav et al, Bioinformatics, 2013.

We hope these tools can be of help in your proteomic work. We would appreciate the feedback and suggestions for their improvement. Please tell us how these can be made more useful.

Thank You

Amit Kumar Yadav, PhD
