Hi,

I recently sat down with our ops guys to setup a RabbitMQ cluster in our windows environment. I blogged about it if anyone is interested.

Oh, and I'd love some feedback. Anything important that we're missing?

I reviewed this with a couple of our engineers and their response was, "Uh, yeah. That's what we're doing as well."

So I'd say hat tip for making the blog post!

I've just setup another cluster, so while the memory's fresh:
- using inet_dist_listen_min...inet_dist_listen_max is the way to go if you have external firewall that only cares about ports (as on AWS)
- ping by name to verify your name resolution works. That might require a DHCP with WINS, hosts file entries or p2p NetBIOS with itsown firewall rules.
- the reason you have to copy the cookie file to multiple folders is because rabbit script setting up the service uses LocalSystem as Identity to run them. Switch that to another user, that user's cookie will be used.
