The Virginia Center for Policing Innovation (VCPI) and the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) have partnered to develop Applied Evidence-Based Policing Practices: Homicide and Violent Crime Reduction.

Based on the fundamental premise that research and evidence should guide organizational decision making as it relates to homicide and violence reduction, this training program integrates theoretical and practical foundations of crime prevention, reduction, and deterrence, focusing on current evidence-based practices.

It is designed for law enforcement managers and decision makers, including but not limited to agency heads, directors, command staff, managers, and supervisors in agencies of all sizes.
