This 5-day course addresses one thing all law enforcement agencies face, whether you live in a small town or a large city, potential for violence is always present. Incidents involving active shooter, barricaded subjects, domestic violence calls, custody battles, hostage takers, or persons threatening suicide represent especially trying and stressful moments for law enforcement personnel who respond to them. To successfully resolve these types of situations, police departments must have in place specialized units at their disposal. One of those specialized units is the Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Team. This is a comprehensive course geared towards both small and large agencies and departmental size is taken into consideration with each exercise. Past attendees, that have attended both Federal and State trainings, have praised this course for being geared towards municipal agencies and likely scenarios.
