Burlington is hosting two free training classes at the end of the month.
The Burlington Massachusetts Police Department will be hosting a 2-Day De-Escalation Training Program from the National De-Escalation
Training Center
There are two options to attend this course.

March 27, 2024 – March 28, 2024
WHAT IS THE PROGRAM?
This project was made possible with a grant from the US DOJ COPS Office to the University of New Haven, grant #15JCOPS-22-GK-03552-PPSE. This federally funded program will promote de-escalation tactics within law enforcement. The primary goal is to deliver
the most advanced de-escalation training curated by research, innovation, and implementation of best practices.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will attend a free, two-day training program that will deliver best practices in de-escalation including procedural justice, correct
de-escalation language, officer adjustments for varying threat stages and environments, body language, conflict management, recognizing mental health and disability issues and means to adjust interactions based upon rapid personality identification.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Each class is only open to the first 20 currently sworn law enforcement officials that register using the registration QR code below.
The form must be completed in its entirety.
