Subject: Re: [Occupy-strategy] UPDATE: WRAP UP/Proposal
To: occupy-...@lists.interoccupy.net

I would like to propose that THIS STRATEGY group use this Interoccupy call time as an opportunity to begin discussing the next steps for the group:

 http://interoccupy.net/blog/ai1ec_event/movement-health-support-call-re-inventing-occupy/?instance_id=3501980

seems appropriate and timely!

Again notes are at this link (with more links to resources)

HI guys,

I feel bad we are a little stalled. But I wanted to offer an interim.

I am sending out this google doc to allow for everyone to put in agenda discussion items, also links.

I am adding the links of already related info. Please feel free to make this doc an organizing tool, for now in preparation for more work ahead.

NOTE: I am NOT able to read and pull together all the emails (boy you guys are a group of people who like write), but wanted to say I agree w/Cal as far as this team may need some division in focus. As I do see some emails come through that I totally can agree with, and then some I am likely to disagree with, especially as far as WHAT we should all being talking about and doing.

Feel free to change a round as you need it or see a better way.  and Cal will you put your proposal in a doc and LINK it to this one. Everyone is welcome to do this same thing.

Thank you!

Greetings all,

I am drowning in these emails, I assume others are too.

I see a lot of new energy and some old confused energy and everything in between. So I have a proposal.

Breif History:

There was a google group list ( for quite a long time now) that has discussion in spurts and volunteered summaries written by Carrick. Separately, there was an InterOccupy call that announced the existence of the old list, after interest was indicated. IO offered to help put the teams together with the "Occupy" tech tools available, and proceeded to do so. So, what was announced as an old list became a new list with combined participants from requests garnered in way or another.

Current Situation:
a group development includes many conversations at different points in the overall process. the discussion has been daunting, lively, disorganized and plentiful.

Proposal:
I will work with Cal ( I saw he offered) and anyone else who wants to join in bringing these discussions off email and into a productive and accessible format. I will start by requesting a HUB on InterOccupy and setting up a phone call. This means you will be asked to register for a call and proceed to move "discussions" to agenda items in the given document. (will come with further instructions later)

Questions?
Concerns?

Thoughts on proceeding? Let me know if you want to help. We can take some of this off-list until the collective defines this a bit more. I think Cal and I can probably be in touch int he next couple of days.

thank you.
