Friend --

You have the power to help bring a fresh message to Massachusetts voters

Do you wish you could hear statewide candidates in this year’s election address the matters that you care about? If so, you’ll be pleased to hear that it’s actually happening.

The three
Green-Rainbow Party statewide candidates: Danny Factor, Ian Jackson,
and MK Merelice
(L-R) Danny, Ian, and Merelice outside the recently closed North Adams Regional Hospital, the only hospital in northwestern Mass. The candidates called for the hospital's reopening, stating that health care is a human right and should be more easily accessible.

You can be very proud of the three statewide candidates that the Green-Rainbow Party has nominated for the November ballot. They are Danny Factor for Secretary of the CommonwealthIan Jackson for Treasurer, and Merelice for Auditor. Last week, they began an official campaign rollout with a “listening launch” in the Berkshires where they heard from community members and leaders on food security, transportation needs, health-care access, expanded recycling, and opposition to a fracked-gas pipeline across the state.
Your candidates have already:
  • Received positive coverage from public radio, newspapers, and TV.
  • Been featured speakers at rallies and events statewide.
  • Collected over 1,000 signatures to place their names on the ballot.
While Danny, Ian, and Merelice are working hard to reflect your interests and values, they need your support to keep the momentum going. The immediate priority is to collect 10,000 voter signatures. If you can spend an hour or two either with a petitioning team or on your own, it would be a tremendous contribution. We can provide you with a list of party members in your district to join a group effort.

To volunteer, contact Siggy Meilus at sigute...@gmail.com.  Petitioning is fun and you'll enjoy being out with your team members. You can also request blank petitions for your individual use or to circulate among friends. Let’s get it done!

With your support, Danny, Ian, and Merelice can continue talking about the issues that other candidates are ducking. Because of them, you’ll hear about the need to:
Invest in the right of every person to enjoy economic security, healthy living, and love.
  • Keep corporate money from undermining our democracy.
  • Address climate change with green, living-wage jobs.
  • Establish a state bank that is too good to fail.
  • Oppose mass incarceration that deprives both individuals and society of creative and productive participation.

Campaign contributions are another great way to show support. Each candidate’s web site provides a link with information on ways to contribute. Whether your contribution is $5 or $500 (the maximum allowed), it helps us hire staff, purchase signs, and pay for postage.

The Green-Rainbow Party slate is speaking up for people, planet, and peace. To see what the media are saying about the campaigns, check out these early articles:
