A Celebration of the American Voice
On May 10th, 11th & 12th from 8-10pm,
“ A Celebration of the American Voiceâ€
3 nights of Poetry & Art Installations in support of the 99%
at the Hall-Haskell House in Ipswich, MA.
Ipswich poet, Blaine Hebbel will be hosting the 3 nights & will be reading his new chapbook “The Occupy Poems†on Saturday May 12th. Joining him on Saturday are some fantastic local poets, including Lee Eric Freedman, Walnut da Lyrical Geni, Neal Zagarella & Tom Miller.
Thursday, May 10 will feature Elizabeth McKim, Jocelyn Almy-Testa, Cinda Danh, Alicia Churchill & Kerry Zagarella, “The Women Poets of Walnut Street Coffee Café†, five fabulous poets who appear regularly at Speak UP!, the premiere spoken word forum in the Boston area.
Friday May 11th’s lineup will feature the poetry of Tony Toledo, Dennis Daly, Mick Augustin, Tom Miller & Peter McDade . Also on Friday will be an Open Mic for anyone who wants to let their words be heard.
The art installations will comment on the struggles of the 99% and/or protests against oppression in any form from any time in history. There is a suggested donation of $5.00 to benefit The Ipswich Food Pantry & My Brother’s Table in Lynn. For more information call 978-376-9510 Occupy Everything
