Subject: [Heritage-society-all] Course on Springfield and social change

Please see the attached flyer and syllabus for the course that Professor Fred Rose is teaching this fall:
"Strategies for Change: Springfield and the Transformation of Urban America."
For anyone interested in working in Springfield, the course will provide
in-depth understanding of the city's politics, history, economics and social
changes that will provide a context for their work in the city.  For students
interested in social change, the course will provide a framework for
understanding change, and practical lessons about developing effective
change strategies.  The course reflects his experiences as a community
organizer in Springfield over the past 20 years.

If you would like to contact Professor Rose he can be reached at 545-6574 or <fr...@pubpol.umass.edu>
