Speaker -Steve Meacham Housing Activist with City Life/ Vida Urbana

In response to the devastating impact of the foreclosure crisis on communities in Boston, Salem Award for Human Rights and Social Justice winner City Life/ Vida Urbana launched a major campaign - the Post-Foreclosure Eviction Defense campaign - to help keep people facing foreclosure in their homes.

Victories won by hundreds of organized families have created public and political pressure that is driving legislative reform and has inspired the emergence of similar campaigns across the region. Learn about this method and the growing resistance.

Learn about the movement in Lynn to mobilize homeowners and community members to save homes on the North Shore by the local group Lynn United for Change
