Franklin Regional Transit Authority workers need our solidarity to win a
fair contract!

Solidarity Rally on the Greenfield Town Common

Saturday, February 2

2:00 to 3:00pm

The FRTA workers, members of United Electrical workers Local 274, may have
to strike if First Transit and the FRTA Management don't prioritize the
needs of the people who do the work.

FRTA workers consist of bus drivers, demand response drivers, dispatchers,
mechanics, and utility workers. The workers' wages have lagged far behind
that of other transit workers in the area and they have accepted concessions
time and time again. Now, the workers are standing up and saying enough is
enough!

They are fighting for a fair contract that has been under negotiations since
July of 2012. The workers demand respect and they need our help!

Come defend public transportation by defending the workers who make this
service possible!

And tell Tina Cote at FRTA to settle the contract! Call 413-774-2262. And/or
use the contact form at http://www.frta.org/contact_us.html. And/or
print-out and sign the petition here

FRTA UE members also plan to attend the Franklin Regional Council of
Governments meeting on Thursday January 31, 5:30pm, at 393 Main St, 3rd
Floor, Greenfield (adjacent to Chamber of Commerce).
