The Leventhal Map & Education Center at the Boston Public Library and the Tsongas Industrial History Center are offering a workshop from July 11-13, 2022 focused on teaching environmental justice.

We welcome K-12 educators as well as museum and out-of-school youth educators to apply!

One graduate credit (optional) through Westfield State or 22.5 PDPs offered.

Teaching Environmental Justice and Activism in Massachusetts and Beyond

July 11-13, 9:00AM - 3:00PM

This three-day workshop for educators in grades 3-12, hosted in Boston and Lowell, will focus on past and present ideas of environmental justice, looking closely at eastern Massachusetts and the reality of its post-industrial landscape.
