Five participants took us up on our Birds & Butterflies field trip offering on August 24th. We were the only MBC members; four others were primarily interested in birds, while a fifth is an avid photographer of all insects, including butterflies. As (bad) luck would have it, the day was overcast and windy with the optimistic forecast of clearing, but the sunshine didn't occur until all others besides us had departed. There was also very little bird activity, but two otters entertained us, and there were various moths and insects that a few of us enjoyed.

2 Cabbage White
3 Clouded Sulphur
1 Orange Sulphur
12 Common Ringlet
1 Pearl Crescent
