Bog Coppers in Townsend 6-17-22

Friday afternoon I braved the heat and walked around the conservation land on Elm Circle. It's basically a pine barren sand pit area with a lot of cranberry plants. Despite being very dry the cranberry plants were all in bloom. I only saw 2 Bog Coppers but there are likely many more.
