Yesterday I walked the lower fields at Surrenden Farms conservation for a couple hours. It was sunny, hot and humid and the only butterflies flying out in the sunny fields were Pierids, a Monarch and a Baltimore Checkerspot. The rest were in the shaded areas at the edge of the woods.
