I took two rather quick trips to Myles Standish and Nasketucket Bay today to see what I could find. My target species were Sleepy Duskywing and Henry's Elfin. I was successful on both, but it wasn't easy.
The day was super sunny with temps in the mid 60's, but the winds were gusting up to probably 20mph, maybe more.
I was at Myles Standish for maybe 15 minutes, but I did see a few things, Nasketucket was a but longer, maybe an hour and almost everything I saw was on the wooded trails where the winds were less.
Myles Standish:
1 Sleepy Duskywing
1 Juvenal's Duskywing
4 Brown Elfins
1 American Lady
15+ Azures
Nasketucket:
1 Henry's Elfin
1 Eastern Tailed Blue
1 Mourning Cloak
20+ Azures - Here I would say Summer form, but given the date, I am not sure. The blue was a lot lighter than the usual Spring form, they were somewhat larger and the pattern is summerish. However, given the date, I would say these are Spring Azures, form violacea.
