After the MBC walk in Myles Standish a few of us pealed off to look for Hessel's Hairstreak in Ponkapoag Bog. Thanks to our expert beaters, Ron and Sue Cloutier, we were treated to a view of this striking little butterfly. A record shot is here http://garrykessler.zenfolio.com/p862720637/h6317ff7d#h65949d43 .

Another treat was the hog-nosed snake wrangled by Rosemary on the walk in Myles Standish.

A few of us wondered about a small yellow flower blooming in Myles Standish. It is pine barrens golden heather (Hudsonia ericoides).
