Myles Standish State Forest 2026-05-04

I returned to MSSF today, and revisited the gas line we walked yesterday with Blake Dinius and the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest. I also stopped by a section the gas line just off Upper College Pond Road.

Conditions were much better today: mid- to high-60s, full. The high winds started around noon or so, but the gusts alternated with fully calm air.

In total, I saw:

7 Hoary Elfin

6 Eastern Pine Elfin

20 Brown Elfin

2 Sleepy Duskywing

1 Juvenal's Duskywing

2 American Lady
