I went to the Horseshoe Mill property owned by the Buzzards Bay Coalition today to see how it has progressed over the years. A few years ago now, they removed an old mill dam from the river and completely changed the look of that area. It has come a long way with a lot of blooming milkweed, crown vetch, and other unknown (to me) flowering weeds. It seems like the butterfly species have found it nice as well. I didn't get there until after 4pm so I am looking forward to going again at more of a butterfly time.
