On 8/26 we visited this Mass Wildlife property. It is in the process of being restored to grassland after being leased for 10 years to a local farm for growing corn. It will take a couple of years for native grasses to get established, but there is already good early growth and spread, with some other native plants sprinkled in. Unfortunately, purple loosestrife is filling in some of the wet edges, mixed with cattails and other more desirable species, but the overall improved biodiversity of the site is encouraging.
