Tuesday 2024-05-014: Delaney WMA, Stow MA

Barbara Volkle and Steve Moore very kindly showed us around the Delaney WMA in Stow MA today. The weather was ideal, temperature in the mid-upper 70s and mostly sunny without much wind.

We saw:

25 Cabbage White

4 Clouded Sulphur

5 Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

13+ Silvery Blue (photo here)

2 American Copper

1 Gray Hairstreak

2 Eastern Pine Elfin (photo here)

6 American Ladies

13+ Duskywing, assorted species, including at least 2 Wild Indigo and 1 Dreamy(Sleepy? photos here and here)

5 Azure

2 Pearl Crescent

1 Red Admiral

After that, we stopped by the bridge over the Assabet River near the Assabet River NWR for just five minutes, and saw:
