I took a LONG walk through various trails in Myles Standish today in search of a frosted elfin. It was in the low 60's and sunny with really not much breeze.
I have big doubts that I saw a frosted, even though inaturalist is saying one of my hoary elfins is a frosted. It is certainly possible, but it doesn't jump out at me as a frosted.
I did, however, run into elfinpalooza out there today. They were everywhere.
100+ Azures
50+ Eastern Pine Elfins
50+ Brown Elfins
30+ Hoary Elfins
3 American Ladys
6 Juvenal's Duskywings
4 Sleepy Duskywings
Oddly no American Coppers or Eastern tailed blues, but I wasn't really in their usual locations. Also still waiting on that first Pearl Crescent. Thought I had one, but it was an orange moth of some sort.
