16 participants enjoyed a field trip on Sunday, August 24 to the Arlington Reservoir’s Habitat Garden, followed by visits to the yards of two homes in a nearby neighborhood. Thank you to Sara, Peter, and Lisa for sharing their amazing, butterfly- and people-friendly yards with us!

Thank you Kristin! and thank you Sara for setting this up, and to everyone who came to visit.

I don't think anyone actually got a photo of the red-banded hairstreak unfortunately- but it was spotted by Zach and Calvin, then Peter, and it seems like they all got a good look at it. (There was a hairstreak flying around today too but it didn't ever stop long enough for an ID.)

We have 4 Monarch chrysalises left; and there are somewhere around 40 black swallowtail eggs/baby caterpillars (most have hatched).
