It was a beautiful day out with full sun and temps in the high 50's/low 60's so we decided to go looking for the first of the year butterflies.
We started at Signal Hill in Canton, but nothing was flying there so we went over to Moose Hill in Sharon. As soon as we got there we found a Mourning Cloak right in front of the visitor center. Along the path heading up, we also saw one Spring Azure.
After this, we went to Myles Standish State Forest in Carver to see if anything was flying there yet. We did find 3 Spring Azures, which was nice. No Elfins yet.
