Letters of Inquiry Due 11/1-Massachusetts Historic Preservation Matching Grant

The 1772 Foundation, in cooperation with Preservation Massachusetts is pleased to announce that funding in the form of 1:1 matching grants of up to $10,000 will be made available for the following historic preservation projects in Massachusetts. We are grateful to the 1772 Foundation for funding this grant program again.

 

Projects must be for exterior work only and the buildings owned (or under long term lease) by a non-profit organization. Applicants must be a private 501(c)3 organization and active religious organizations and schools are not eligible to apply for funding per the funder’s guidelines.

 

All organizations that wish to be considered should submit a Letter of Inquiry using our online form, available at https://www.preservationmass.org/ma-hp-grant-loi . Letters of Inquiry not submitted via the online form will not be considered.

Letters of inquiry will be accepted until 5:00 PM on November 1, 2025. Invited applications will be due February 20, 2026. Not all letters of inquiry will result in invitations to submit full applications.
