Find Population Densities via LatLng and Radius

Hello Everyone,

I work as a Consultant for a company based out of Vancouver, and I
was curious if anyone could point me towards a web service that would
mimic the following process:

Input Parameters:
- Latitude/Longitude
- Surface Area (by radius)

Process:
- Calculate the population and/or population density of the
inputted geographic area

Output:
- Population and/or Population Density


If a web service does not exist, I would be more than willing to
program the algorithm myself with access to the appropriate
dataset. My geographic focus is strictly North America, so I do not
necessarily need World Data.

Any help would be appreciated!
