each FD must have at least 1 vehicle that can respond nationwide for
21 days self contained
unit must be able to do interior firefighting, wildfire fighting, rope
rescue, low level hazmat and econ etc
with a crew of 4
maybe we should revise this to - each county must have at least 1 vehicle ....
the most common fire vehicle are the TYPE 1 pumpers with 1000 GPM
pumps and 500 gallon tanks - all have scba - many have jaws - throw
some forestry hose on them and you have a halfway decent brush truck -
throw some radiation suits and geiger counters and you have a nuke
response unit - many already have the nuke meters - carry some rope
and you can do technical rescues - etc
