This is a rare case of 'reverse Swiss cheese' model averts a
catastrophe. The severely injured pilot barely gets the cockpit door
open, a passenger with enough awareness pulls the plane out of the
death dive; and there happens to be off duty pilots on board to safely
land the plane. Severe pucker factor indeed.
