Arlington FD could operate 3 stations with 4 quints + 2 engines + 4
ambulances - this is based on the space available on the apparatus
floor
Station 1 - Arlington Center - 1 quint + 2 ambulances + 2 engines - 6 bays
Station 2 - Highland Station - 2 quints + 1 ambulance - 3 bays
Station 3 - 1 quint and 1 ambulance - 1 bay
Staffing could be 3 people per station - 1 being a firefighter /
paramedic + 2 being firefighter / EMTs
EMS calls could be handled by 1 ambulance with 3 people from Sta 1 or
Sta 2 or Sta 3 - fire calls could be handled by 1 fire unit from each
Sta - except that Sta 3 would probably need to respond with both units
since it is a 1 bay station
BLS transports could be handled by 2 FF/EMT on the ambulance - with
the paramedic getting into a police car or Uber
Additional units could be staffed by offduty staff or paid on call staff
An additional crew of 3 people could be based at Sta 1 - as they do
now - in that case, Sta 1 could staff ether 2 ambulances or 2 fire
units or a mixture
In the end - this means that a maximum of 4 ambulances could be
staffed or 4 fire units - or any mixture thereof
