listening via scanner feed - 33.78 is the listed channel - audio is
very loud and clear
all initial dispatches are done by computer synthesized voice
all follow up comms are done by humans making human speaking sounds
lol (apparently lol )
all field radios sound fine - no static
the computer voice is too hot on the feed and its hard to hear the addresses
they seem to be running 6 stations now - heard a couple of calls in "District 6"
some serious ems calls get just 1 ambulance - they might run 3 man
crews on some ambulances
residential alarms and even commercial alarms get 2 engines
response times were 8 or 9 minutes for 3 of the alarm calls
units sign on the radio as they keave the station so you can get a
good idea of how fast they get out the door - usuauly 1 to 2 minutes
Engine 20 and Amb 37 are running to District 6 calls in Hatchville -
the news did report that their new station 6 is near Hatchville -
seems to check out - both units go to car crashes - unknown injury and
air bag deployed
the same two tone pager signal precedes each dispatch - there might be
a very short key up tone or digital signal before that 2 tone pager
signal - the 2 tone pager signal is a 2 second tone followed by a
different 2 second tone
618 am - page for 1 firefighter needed for the day tour
828 am - E22 and E22 went to an alarm in District 2 - 9 minute response time
850 am - E20 sent to alarm call in Dist 5 - 851 am Eng 10 sent - the
dispatch went out over both the dispatcher and Eng 20 - could hear all
3 of them talking at the same time - 8 minute response time for both
engines
historically - iirc - E21 was at Sta 1 downtown - eng 22 was at sta 2
at woods hole maybe - eng 23 was at sta 3 - eng 24 was at sta 4 in
north falmouth maybe - eng 25 was at sta 5 in east falmouth
not sure where eng 10 and eng 20 are based
945 am - E24 and E21 went to an alarm call in Dist 4 - 953 am units
clear - caused by workmen
1351 hr - A34 to seizure call in Dist 1 - arrived at 1355
