when was the last time that anyone in FDNY practiced a FAR ? feedback

is it still possible to do a FAR with their current radios?

just get a HT and mash down on the xmit button - walk around to you
hear a very loud squeal coming from the radio of the trapped or downed

or I suppose you could shut down all radios except one - and just
quietly transmit "where are you?" every 15 seconds (as you walk
around) until you hear yourself
