Los Angeles firefighters responded Saturday afternoon, July 18th,
2026, to a grass fire in the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area near 6400
North Balboa Boulevard.
First-arriving companies found approximately 150 feet by 150 feet of
heavy vegetation burning with a slow rate of spread. Firefighters
immediately began an aggressive fire attack while LAFD helicopters
provided aerial support.
(let me know when someone does a passive fire attack - maybe we can
hook up and do a passive aggressive fire attack)
