radio traffic from LA County Sta 81 incident

note - beginning of video - comms are on a UHF repeater channel - the
V8 channel mentioned is a VHF simplex channel - the helo spoke to the
Patrol 81 via the V8 channel - but you dont hear that here - these are
the normal day to day channels that they use in that area - in other
words - this is what you usually hear in this area from LA County Fire
- except of course it is a more serious incident - but the channels
and radio procedures are used everyday routinely

also note - Battalion 22 is driving himself to the scene and using the
radio at the same time

neighbor called to report subject is down with gunshot wound to head

we still want all units to stage away

that dispatcher did SUCH a good job - and the chiefs - too bad the
radios suck so much - but it would cost billions to fix the problems
and to give them good portable comms countywide
