there are probably 2,000 languages spoken by people in NYC - there
needs to be a major effort to get everyone trained to talk to a 911
dispatcher in English - otherwise they need to expect a delay when
getting a translator on the line - but they probably have lots of
spanish speaking 911 calltakers - probably lots of other languages
also - but do they take advantage of that capability in a smart
manner?

why doesnt the dispatcher have the callers location? doesnt ALI work
for cellphones in NYC?
