around 11,000 homes destroyed - for some reason - no 'precise' number is given

" As Southern California nears the heart of wildfire season,
rebuilding is merely inching forward in areas hit by the most
destructive conflagrations in Los Angeles history. "

" Rebuilding after California fires has long been an arduous process —
in Malibu, only about 40% of the 488 homes that burned in the 2018
Woolsey Fire have completed reconstruction. "

they will yap endlessly about rebuilding - but no one will say squat
about the initial attack and mobilization - and when it happens again
in nov or dec - newsom and bass and liu and shiff and pelosi will take
the hit - and they will deserve it for doing nothing in the 12 months
previous - trump already has his cover story - he 'created' the us
wildfire force - which is a friggin joke

=======================

Note - Malibu is a CITY in the County of Los Angeles - Los Angeles is
a CITY in the County of Los Angeles - Santa Monica is a City in the
County of Los Angees - they all have defined boundaries - they all
have local rules and regulations and maybe laws and statutes

there is a widcard near the city of malibu - NPS has the Santa Monica
Mtns Natl Recreation Area or some such thing in the mtns above Malibu
- not sure what authority they have - they only have 2 or 3 wildfire
trucks and they never seem to do anything with them
