no boxes beeped

ch 1 is 470.025R ch 2 is 482.2375R

chirps on ch 1 - then box alarm announced by FAO - "ch2 is fg"

no radio traffic between initial dispatch and arrival - no honks or
chirps either

OIC arrives on Ch 2 - all comms at scene on Ch 2 - FAO is on Ch 2 also

morse code ids on ch 2 - BAD BAD BAD - get rid of them - will mess up
any direct comms - they can do direct comms on Ch2 cant they? - can
they talk to fao on ch 2 direct? - radio ref shows ch4 as ch 1 direct
- maybe ch 2 direct would be ch 5

OIC requests allout on ch 2 - OK by FAO

Ch 1 - 3 beeps - allout announced by FAO

FAO = fire alarm office / dispatcher

phantom box 926 was received - dispatcher said address was 305
commandants - fao followed by saying phantom box 926 was actually box
9251 at 285 commandants - car 3 found nothing at 305 - Ladder found
alarms at 285 - faulty detector in attic maybe

afaik a phantom box only exists on paper in the FAO - how did they
"receive" a phantom box?

July 2023 - procedures are the same essentially as 1 year ago

medical calls and minor calls are done entirely on Channel 1

long tone was heard at beginning of 1 box alarm - maybe 8 seconds -
maybe 5 seconds - approx 10 beeps also

Cataldo ambulances sign on to CH 1 when responding to medical calls
with Chelsea FD units - they give their ETA

boxes are not beeped on CH 1 - 3 beeps maybe proceed any announcement
of an 'allout'

July 5 2023 - 855 am - 5 minutes to radio test - 900 am - test of all
inservice units - dispatcher calls rollcall and each unit replys - Eng
1 2 3 Tower 1 Ladder 2 Car 3 - pause - (maybe Cr 3 tested on ch2 and
ch3) - test complete

all units give arrival and status messages verbally - apparently they
do not have MDTs

July 5 2023 - 354 pm - 1 honk - Eng 2 and Tower 2 sent to fire alarm
(system activation) - (iirc they stayed on CH1 for this call)

1800 hours - station ID by dispatcher and temperature given
