listening to the channel (461.45 PL 107.3) for a while - we can
confirm that Boston Med Flight is using this radio channel for
dispatch of Boston MedFlight helicopters - and for enroute comms with
helicopters - and for coordination of all medevac helicopters that are
operating in and out of the Boston area - such as DHART and LifeStar
and Worcester LifeFlight

messages heard include - switching over to CMED - switching to UTAC 41
direct - etc - apparently the aircraft typically have just 1 UHF radio

both the helicopters and the dispatcher are transmitting PL 107.2 -
have heard both with my own 2 ears via my radio - unknown if any other
PLs are used - such as on Cape Cod or in Plymouth County - typically
we only seem to hear the helicopters if they are within 30 miles and
to the west or north

pilots are IDed as "Med 13 Pilot" or "Med 1 Pilot" etc

dispatcher IDs as "Ops" iirc

adding 1 item - Boston MedFlight helicopters are probably only
dispatched on 461.45 if they are already in the air or away from their
home base

we do not typically hear any tones or any initial alerts for any
aircraft - but we might be too far away to hear that
