Otsego County Ambulance Currently has one station Located in Gaylord
with support of first responders at fire stations

All responding units radio call the first number is their station
number for example 624 is an ambulance out of station 6

Station 1 Johannesburg - Charlton

Station 3 Elmira Township

Station 4 Vanderbilt

Station 5 Waters

Station 6 Otsego county Ambulance

Station 8 Is Heavy rescue and operates out of Gaylord

=========================

this is probably typical for the usa - per the usfa fd registry -
https://apps.usfa.fema.gov/registry/summary -

Basic Life Support 61%
Emergency Medical Services (EMS) nontransport response 40.6%

[ not sure what that means - maybe 60% of FDs have cpr training - but
only 40% of FDs are dispatched to ems incidents ]

Advanced Life Support 21.8%
EMS ambulance transport 21.1%

[ this might translate to - 1 fd in county seat provides an ambulance
while the 5 volunteer stations that surround the county seat do not
have their own ambulances - thats seems to be right more or less] -
although it might be more like - some parts of the usa have lots of FD
ambulances - 80% of areas do not have FD ambulances
