to firealert
iirc the tokyo fd is set up like this
FD HQ is downtown - approx 20 story highrise - admin and east dispatch
center is here - no fire trucks here iirc - or actually - there is a
fire station or fire station branch next door iirc
Fire station divisions: 3
Fire stations: 81
Fire station branches: 207
10 districts
3 divisions - each division hq has a division chief and a usar team
10 district HQs - each has a district chief apparently - these are all
shared locations afaik - none has any assigned dedicated fire vehicles
maybe - except for a command cae or a mobile command post maybe - like
a typical USA FD
(I have to go back and look at my Tokyo FD map again - I dont think
that I ever realized that they had 10 district HQs - might explain
some of the funny listings)
maybe 100 "fire stations" - each "fire station" has a fire station
chief command van + 1 or 2 engines plus 1 ladder plus 1 ambulance -
typically 4 or more bays - some of these are 10 stories tall
maybe 100 "branch fire stations" - typically 2 bays - either 2 engines
or 1 engine plus 1 ambulance - no command van - no ladder
separate special divisions have the helicopters and the boats
lets see what wikipedia says - OK got it - revised the material above
come to think of it - some locations might have a division HQ + a FD
HQ + a branch sta - some locations might have a FD HQ + a branch
station - many locations are just branch stations
maybe if I see a "fire station" with 2 pumpers and a ladder - maybe it
is actually a "FD station" plus a "branch station" in the same bld
I can go back thru the Tokyo FD pages and figure this out
